Face recognition at an access gate has zero tolerance for motion blur — a walking person, a turning head, or changing ambient light cannot produce a smeared or rolling-shutter-distorted frame, or the algorithm rejects the capture and the queue backs up. The system needs enough resolution to map facial landmarks at arm’s length, enough speed to freeze movement without flash, and enough dynamic range to handle a sunlit lobby and a dim corridor with the same pipeline. The AE-CCM-GS-IMX568-C-60 answers with a Sony IMX568 global shutter sensor delivering 5 MP distortion-free frames at up to 96 fps, 48 dB analog gain for low-light corridors, and a 53° horizontal field of view tuned for single-person capture at 0.5–3 m — the exact envelope a face-recognition terminal or kiosk needs.
Built around the Sony IMX568-AAQJ-C 1/1.8″ global shutter CMOS sensor, delivering 2448 × 2048 distortion-free frames at up to 96 fps through a 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface. The global shutter eliminates rolling-shutter artefacts — no skew, no wobble, no partial exposures — giving face-recognition algorithms a geometrically perfect input on every frame. Combined with 48 dB analog gain, 8/10/12-bit ADC output, and an IRC 650 nm filter for consistent colour under mixed lighting, the module delivers biometric-grade image quality from a 19 × 19 mm footprint.
